A global ecommerce platform company is looking for a creative, innovative, and analytical brand and marketing content strategist to join the global marketing team to engage with, and tell the stories of, the businesses that thrive on our global B2B marketplace. We want to grow our audience of small- and medium-sized businesses, and showcase their stories through engaging narratives and content. This position will be critical to the company’s global strategy as it broadens its appeal to western audiences. This means everyone steps outside their role at times in order to learn more about our customers or help develop products, services, and content. Responsibilities ● Plan, write, and edit product copy and content, including (but not limited to) feature stories and case studies, educational material, social media copy, product marketing, emails, scripts and tutorials, interface language, product names, and microcopy ● Create, document, and maintain foundational content strategy, writing guidelines and word lists to be used across the organization and ensure consistent product experiences ● Participate in customer research and synthesis to understand the audience's needs and balance them with business goals ● Identify content opportunities and offer strategic and innovative solutions to influence decisions at all levels of the organization - and advocate for customers throughout the product development process
Requirements Minimum qualifications: ● 5+ years of relevant user-focused writing and strategy ● 3+ years of digital writing or social media content experience ● Native English experience, plus excellent grammar and attention to detail Preferred qualifications: ● B2B experience, experience working in the logistics industry or on logistics products, or ecommerce marketplace experience (example: Amazon) ● Experience creating content and copy at both corporations and start-ups, either in a direct or consulting role ● Experience working with a cross-border, global team ● Able to embrace change, work with flexibility and agility ● Strong communicator – manages upwards and downwards and communicates effectively with a range of stakeholders across functions and geographies ● Passionate about helping small businesses The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $87,120/year and $142,320/year. However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
