This Position:
As the Marketing eMail Programs & Database Manager, you’ll be working as a critical member of the marketing team. This position acts as the subject matter expert who will maintain, build, and grow the Salesforce database as well as manage the email schedule, coordinate copy creation with the content team, program emails, conduct reporting, and provide insights for email performance for individual emails and collectively for campaigns. In this position, you will be responsible for continuously improving and optimizing the email marketing campaigns and the database, maintaining visibility through the executive and management KPI reporting.
The ideal candidate will have a strategic, analytical, collaborative mindset with the ability to manage projects under general guidance from the Vice President of Marketing and Communications and work across the marketing and sales teams. This includes providing insights on email campaigns, identifying improvement opportunities, keeping up with and applying best practices, aligning improvement opportunities with long- and short-term goals, providing in-depth database analysis, providing guidance to teammates and to the business, managing to priorities, and maintaining reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
· Project manage the overall email schedule, work with cross-functional team leaders and partners to collect content for emails, and execute the list creation and segmentation, email setup, and scheduling in Pardot.
· Provide expertise in marketing campaign management including a clean account of campaigns, completion actions, tagging, scoring, prospect lists, and suppression lists.
· Manage and perform the necessary daily, weekly, and monthly updates to database records to capture job changes and duplicate records for hygiene as well as programmatically add new contacts to the database and convert new contacts/leads to mailable prospects for list growth and email deliverability.
· Oversee new data and advise on data use for targeting, personalization, configuration, strategy, and reporting.
· Analyze data from reports to identify areas of improvement and make actionable recommendations to improve results, create operational efficiencies, and required changes to the implementation.
· Be the subject matter expert for formulation and execution of email strategies and tactics for email, mobile, and web including nurturing programs, campaign management, lead lifecycle integration with Salesforce, and reporting on lead flow/progress.
· Develop documentation of current processes and future enhancements.
· Assist in the development of responsive, best-in-class email templates.
· Partner with the team to drive the strategic adoption of Salesforce and Pardot, ensure business and customer value is realized, and successfully manage the day-to-day technical development of data integrations, strategic data exports, dynamic emails, etc.
· Build and maintain working relationships with sales, clients, and vendors.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or related field is preferred, with 1 – 3 years of email marketing experience or an equivalent combination of training, experience, and/or education.
- Strong experience in Salesforce/Pardot.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, specifically Excel.
- Motivated self-starter with an optimistic outlook that can collaborate and work effectively in a close team dynamic focused on supporting multiple departments.
- Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Must have the ability to multi-task in a demanding/quick turn environment, adhering to strict deadlines.
- Must have excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Maintain strong working knowledge and motivated to grow knowledge of email marketing best practices and continuous improvement.
- Creative problem solver and out-of-the-box thinker who can effectively collaborate with a range of stakeholders throughout a matrixed organization to get those things done.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
