Job Title: Wellness Receptionist

Department: Spa

Reports To: Spa Manager

FLSA Status: Non-exempt

Approved By: Director of Wellness

Summary:

Assist members and guests in booking spa services. Answers questions about spa facilities and directs members and guests to their desired location.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Responds to high volume of telephone calls.
  • Makes appointments for members and guests and cancels and/or modifies appointments as necessary.
  • Greets members and guests in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Assists members with product purchases and encourages retail sales.
  • Keeps informed and knowledgeable of all Spa services, their times of operation, the facilities, and retail merchandise.
  • Answers questions and provides information to members and guests about the facility and provides members with their itineraries.
  • Charges services to the member’s account or charges guests to their credit card.
  • Operates and utilizes the reservation system.
  • Provides information to members about new and upcoming events and classes.
  • Sells spa, fitness, and salon products while maintaining retail display areas by daily stocking and cleaning.
  • Maintaisn a neat and organized facility.
  • Properly opens and closes spa and fitness center each day according to standard operating procedures.
  • Be informed about all policies and procedures. Promote Spas and all services, products, and programs.
  • Reconciles all member and credit card transactions at the end of closing shift.
  • Enforces policies and procedures.
  • Attends monthly staff meetings.
  • Communicates with members, co-workers, management, and the general public in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Conforms with and abides by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions.
  • Exhibits and maintains a professional demeanor to reflect a positive image of The Club at Admirals Cove.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Spa Manager and Director of Wellness.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Requires excellent customer service skills.
  • Requires proper telephone etiquette.
  • Knowledge of spa products and services.
  • Sales, retail, or cosmetics experience.
  • Previous club experience is preferred.
  • Ability to communicate well in English verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to understand and carry out verbal and written instructions in English.
  • Ability to interact professionally and maintain effective working relationships with superiors, co-workers, and members.

  • Must be able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) plus a minimum of one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Ability:

Ability to communicate well in English. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of members and employees of the organization.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook, and reservation software.

Certificates and Licenses:

CPR & AED certification.
