Software Engineer_ Advanced Drive Assist Systems (ADAS)

As a software engineer within the Advanced Drive Assist Systems you will Support the ADAS system development which would include software and hardware. You will be asked to provide technical guidence and expertise as well as be design release responsible for software aspects of Advanced Drive Assist Systems and Autonomous Driving (ADAS/ AD). The ideal candidate would have software design, validation, integration and release experience for ADAS related software

Responsibilities (Included but not limited to):

· Help lead and support the ADAS/AD perception software, sensor fusion, localization, motion planning and control, software architecture, data engineering for Level 2 and beyond

· Drive the ADAS/AD software specifications with creative ideas to bring each feature to the next level, providing the best class experience to the end customer

· Contribute as a technically lead for the ADAS/AD system development roadmap, strategic planning, production release, and planning

· Support the design, prototyping, validation and launch of the ADAS system software

· Responsible for all ADAS/AD software releases

· Manage supplier partnerships and engagements

· Support proof of concept prototype software development

· Lead performance validation and evaluation activities for ADAS/ AD system software

· Support Hardware identification, validation and release

· Contribute to the timely delivery of fully validated, high quality customer features.

· Work closely with other teams to ensure good communication to a achieve a robust vehicle implementation

· Occasional travel may be required

· Other duties as assigned

Experience/ Qualifications (included but not limited to):

· BS in Electrical Engineer, Computer Sciences, or Equivalent

· Master of Science preferred

· Minimum of 5 years of ADAS/AD development experience

· Experience leading technical teams

· High level of oral and written communication skills

· Ability to work in a fast pace work environment and be able to think on their toes

· Automotive OEM experience

· Knowledge of ROS, DDS, or other middleware systems, Autosar

· Knowledge of programming languages (Matlab/ Simulink, Python, C/C++, etc)

· Experience in component and system integration, testing, and validation on system and vehicle level

· Knowledge of applicable safety and regulatory standards, Industry benchmarks, and customer requirements

· Experience in automotive supplier management and interaction. Which would include specification development, release management, and engineering change management.
