Lovely couple located in Rancho Santa Fe, California is seeking a mature, warm, caring, professional Rotational Nanny for one toddler to begin in late January/ Early February 2023.

Ideal candidates will be highly experienced, confident, and knowledgeable. Must be willing and able to travel with the family when needed. This down-to-earth and worldly family values work-life balance and are eager to welcome a rotational nanny who can be a beam of support in their home.

The schedule is:

  • Full-time: 24 hour coverage/7 day week. The Nanny can anticipate working 12 hours per day and in addition to being available for overnight care if required.
  • Schedule: Rotational 7 days on/ 7 days off schedule
  • Live In during shift.
  • Live Out during 7 days off
  • If a candidate is not local they MUST be willing to relocate within 30 miles of the Rancho Santa Fe area. No commuters.. they do not want people flying in and out each week. Live out accommodations are not provided, so candidates need to do their research before interviewing to confirm they are able to move to CA within the parameters.

This position is ideal for a candidate who considers themselves a self-starter and prides themselves on hitting the ground running in their role as a Professional Nanny and an early riser! A deep sense of step in and step out intuition will be important, along with an ability to adapt to the family’s needs. Candidates with recent infant/toddler experience will be prioritized. A Nanny who is a team player with excellent communication skills to work alongside Co-Nanny and parents will thrive in this role. Ability to work with multiple children required. Candidates should have the ability to multi-task, be able to accommodate the changing schedules of the family and always remain positive and calm. Child is the number one priority with safety and security being paramount. The family surrounds themselves with wonderful people, they expect that all of their staff will represent them accordingly. The family favors discretion at all times as well as highly valuing confidentiality. It is important to keep their privacy honored at all times.

Duties include, but not limited to:

  • Daily childcare – feeding, meal preparation, dressing, changing/helping with toileting and potty training, and bathin
  • Engage child (i.e. talk to, sing, read to, play age appropriate activities)
  • Chaperone child to and from activities, appointments, lessons, as needed
  • Provide a pleasant environment for child to learn and grow, positive role model
  • Praise child when they have accomplished a goal, inspires child’s self-esteem
  • Alert parents in case of an emergency or signs of concern in areas of general health or safety; can handle in cases of emergency
  • Maintain a child safe environment
  • Light housekeeping related to childcare – emptying diaper pail, dishes after mealtime, laundry
  • Some housekeeping in common areas related to kitchen clean up, dishwasher management, taking out trash, picking up child’s toys. You are not expected to clean up children’s toys.
  • Ability to cook for the family
  • Daily walkthrough and checks all items, restocks, and writes down on the shopping list when running low
  • Reviews and assists mother in wardrobe and seasonal clothing and accessories
  • Research anything needed on behalf of child as directed
  • Buy child’s food and pharmacy shopping as directed
  • Tidy and organize all child’s spaces; bedroom, bathrooms, play areas, stroller(s), etc.
  • Helping with cooking and household items for parents are appreciated on an as-needed basis. The parents have an assistant and have cleaning staff in twice a week, so “major” cleaning is not needed, but light cleaning is expected to keep the common area of the home neat and keep the child’s bedroom tidy.

Qualifications:

  • Verifiable, long-term experience working with young infants & toddlers, long term intent
  • Knowledge of general first aid and CPR certification
  • Strong swimming skills
  • Willingness to mirror the family’s COVID-19 safety protocols
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record
  • Must have reliable personal vehicle to get back and forth to work.
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States
  • Must be willing to sign an NDA and submit to an in-depth background check

Compensation/Benefits:

  • $100-120k annual salary, depending on experience
  • $500 Monthly Health Insurance Stipend
  • PTO
  • Paid sick days
  • Paid holidays: They can divide up the holidays between the 2 rotational nannies based on individual preference, such that they will have coverage across holidays.
  • Bonus will be offered on an as-earned performance basis
