Traveling Cardiac Sonographer needed in Maumee, OH Job at NurseStar Medical Partners
Start Date: Ideal candidate can start as early as 1/9/2023. Will take candidates that can start before or after
Schedule Options: Day Shift / 4-10 hour shifts or 5-8 hour shifts / 40 hour guarantee / On call every 3rd weekend / 12-14 days of call per month
Performs high quality cardiac ultrasound procedures that require ingenuity, initiative and independent judgment on patients. Performs m-mode, two dimensional cardiac ultrasound, Doppler color flow studies, stress echos and AV optimization procedures; assists physician with transesophageal exams. Follows department policies and protocols.
- Specializes in performing cardiac ultrasound diagnostic studies.
- Obtains patient history, explains standard procedures, and addresses patient concerns to foster a sense of comfort and confidence to patients and ensure the needs of individual patients are met.
- Operates and maintains all assigned ultrasound scanning equipment to ensure it works properly.
- Positions patients, selects appropriate transducers and machine settings and conducts scanning procedures to correctly capture the images requested by a physician.
- Completes quality assurance processes and practices. Complies with all Joint Commission, federal, state, and local regulatory laws, standards, and protocols.
SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
- High School diploma or GED
- Certified as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) by the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
