Job Description

Watertown Savings Bank is looking for friendly, outgoing individuals to join our team as Tellers. We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional customer service to all customers by processing transactions accurately, timely, and efficiently. An ideal candidate should have cashing handling experience, feel comfortable using a PC, and have strong communication skills.

The full-time position is Monday through Friday, including two Saturdays in a four Saturday month and three Saturdays in a five Saturday month which are paid at the rate of time and a half.

The part-time position is for an average of 30 hours a week, including all Saturdays. Saturday mornings are paid at the rate of time and a half and are required of all part-time tellers.

Major Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

• Maintain and balance a cash drawer daily and report any discrepancies to the supervisor.
• Provide prompt, accurate routine tasks, including making deposits, withdrawals, transfers, issuing money orders or cashier checks, receiving loan payments, cashing checks, etc.
• Correctly identify customers and examine checks for proper endorsements and authenticity.
• Comply and keep updated on all policies, procedures, regulations, etc.
• Set up and keep an organized workstation for daily activity, i.e., obtains necessary forms supplies for individual work station and order cash as needed.
• Answers phones and transfer calls to appropriate personnel if unable to assist the customer.
• Identifies sales opportunities and makes referrals to appropriate departments or individuals.
