Provides care during the intraoperative, preoperative, and postoperative phases of the patient’s surgical experience.

Qualifications, Skills, & Abilities:
- Minimum 1-year operative scrub experience with specialized expertise in pediatric orthopedics preferred
- Graduate of an Surgical Technology Program
- Current Surgical Technology Certification
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Card Certification
- Knowledge of surgical principles and aseptic technique
- Broad knowledge base of surgical instrumentation and application
- Proficient of medical terminology, human anatomy and surgical equipment
- Effective interpersonal skills and conflict resolution skills
- Excellent communication and listening skills, the ability to work collaboratively in a team
- Demonstrates effective problem solving skills
- Must have the flexibility to alter assignments on short notice and work with diverse personalities and changing situations
