Partnering with care teams in Middletown and working throughout our residential homes in Rhode Island, the Substance Use Specialist coordinates care for our clients across disciplines.
Responsibilities include:

• Provide individual substance use counseling to assigned caseload in accordance with policy & procedure.
• Lead group activities and group therapy related to substance abuse and addictions.
• Participate in comprehensive inter disciplinary team treatment planning and activities as indicated or scheduled.
• Collaborate with other disciplines, and coworkers as needed in order to ensure client needs are met.
• Educates clients regarding specials issues associated with substance abuse treatment.

Qualifications:

• CDP certified or a Bachelor's Degree with major in social science or related field
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to professionally communicate verbally and in writing with a variety of individuals
• Caring and empathetic, with the desire to help others in need
• Self-motivated and independent, with the ability to prioritize work to meet deadlines
• Valid Driver’s License with reliable transportation to travel to our facilities throughout the area
