About the Role

Roku pioneered TV streaming and continues to shape the future of TV. Its leadership position in the industry comes from its ability to innovate and execute. The Viewer Product team at Roku is responsible for innovating our core OS experiences and delivering delightful new features and services to our users.

Roku is looking for an experienced Sr. Product Manager to drive the strategy and roadmap of the OS notifications and user onboarding experience after device setup. You will leverage your product expertise to optimize the experience globally. You will showcase your incredible ability to collaborate, execute, and your obsessive focus on the quality of your product. You will work closely with design, engineering, data science/analytics, marketing and business teams to bring core features to life. You will bring clarity of thought and ensure that resources and teams are always working on the most important, high impact areas.

We are highly data driven and make decisions based on experimentation and data. You will be quick at interpreting results from experiments and make decisions on future iterations. We recognize that it is equally important to have strong product intuition that informs decision making. We are looking for product leaders that demonstrate strong user empathy and product instincts.

For California Only - The estimated annual salary for this position is between $129,000 and $450,000 annually.
Compensation packages are based on factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, certifications, and specific geographical location.

What you'll be doing

  • Collaborate across the organization to establish governance guidelines and build the Roku OS notifications framework
  • Define the user experience and execute the roadmap to onboard people onto the Roku OS platform after setting up a device and provide education to products and capabilities available
  • Explore opportunities to re-engage users to reduce churn
  • Work closely with UX, engineering, marketing and business teams to improve existing experiences and define/deliver new features
  • Partner with Research, Data Science and Regional Managers to balance local product market fit experiences with a scalable platform
  • Work with legal to understand country-specific compliance requirements and execute on them as part of an end-to-end product lifecycle
  • Author PRDs/Feature Guides and release plans to enable the team to develop products that meet user and business needs
  • Drive feature prioritization, process improvements, and product development with one eye on key business KPIs and the other on the quality of the product

We’re Excited If You Have

  • 5 years or more product management experience in a consumer-facing company
  • Experience driving and testing user onboarding experiences
  • Experience with system notification frameworks
  • Experience launching products on a global scale
  • Experience with qualitative and quantitative methods to understand consumer behavior, and using large scale A/B testing to iterate over products and features
  • Excellent at communication, facilitation, presentation, interpersonal, analytical skills and the ability to work independently
  • An ability to clearly articulate nuanced product requirements as well as strong business sense that can be applied to feature definition
  • Excitement about things you don’t know. You ask lots of questions and go searching for answers. Geeking out is part of what makes it fun to come to work
  • Minimum of BS in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent, MBA a plus
