Reporting to the Video Manager, The Video Workshop Technician must prepare and scan the rented equipment and put them back upon returns in the inventory in the space designated. The technician must also prepare the transport cases and may have to load it in the truck for outbound.

Your day will look like this:

• Check the lists of equipment to prepare during the day of their section
• In collaboration with the manager, coordinate the preparation of orders according to priorities
• Prepare complex orders, scan them, and insert them into shipping boxes
• The technician may be required to customize the equipment if required by the customer according to the order form:
• Complete lists in R2 software
• Change equipment settings
• Program equipment according to standards and customer needs
• Prepare the "racks" and interconnection of systems
• Install computer software/program releases and updates
• Make sure to provide all the accessories necessary for the operation of the equipment (ex: wiring, adapter, bracket, remote control, etc.)

• Ensure that the equipment that is sent to the sites is in good condition
• Ensure the order and cleanliness of their section
• Report breakages and missing items to the manager
• Manage inventory in the department
• Respond to questions and issues from technicians as well as route coordinators
• Clean and visually inspect returned equipment
• Upgrade items (e.g., painting, cleaning, etc.)
• Other duties as assigned

Your profile:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a video equipment workshop or on live events
• Knowledge of racks
• Knowledge of how to calibrate cameras
• Basic knowledge of IP and Networks
• Ability to solve complicated problems
• Thoroughness and attention to detail
• Well-developed organizational skills
• Demonstrate ability to work well with clients (internal and external)
• Adapt to change easily
• Ability to work independently and within a team
• Flexibility of working schedule (an asset)
• Experience in Forklift operation
