Job Overview
The website developer will manage and develop in our eCommerce environments, achieving direct revenue goals and developing a premiere shopping experience for our customers. This is a hands-on coding position where we are looking for a natural leader who will be doing both development in both WordPress and Magento as well as managing the cyber security and deployments. They will be focused on understanding today’s complex landscape of B2B and B2C ecommerce strategies to create effective eCommerce sites across our business units.
Job Responsibilities
Responsible for the coding/development and continued improvement of our websites,including UX, navigation, site search, site speed, mobile experience, and security.
Focus on the “3 S’s” - Secure, Scalable, and Stable as well as troubleshooting/debugging application and code issues.
Create and maintain an ongoing project roadmap for the web, partnering closely with key stakeholders.
Develop and execute enhancements on our websites on the Magento and WordPress platforms.
Develop and execute strategic site merchandising that drives conversion rate.
Drive continued improvement through A/B testing.
Perform cross-browser compatibility tests and iterate to work through bugs, collaborating with marketing team to bridge the gap between graphical design and technical implementation to complete projects, websites, platforms, and other web experiences.
Assess technical requirements for new projects.
Problem solving new and existing technical issues.
Build and maintain suite of reports that enable decision making; data driven from
google analytics and Magento.
Work with the wider team on development and hands-on execution of automated email marketing programs in various email systems, including HubSpot.
Contribute to and work in line with an editorial calendar, collaborating with other members of the content production team to ensure timely project delivery.
Maintain a holistic view of UX across all touch points, ensuring a cohesive customer experience across all channels.
Monitor, analyze and report on website performance metrics and KPIs, providing insights and recommendations to improve performance.
Collaborate closely with other team members to ensure a cohesive digital marketing strategy.
Support additional marketing/company needs as required.
Qualifications, Skills, Traits and Abilities
5+ years’ experience of demonstrated website development in an eCommerceenvironment.
3+ years’ experience leading lifecycle marketing strategy development, execution, and optimization, in data-driven, customer-centric environments. Hands on experience with web applications and programming languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, PHP and MySQL.
In depth understanding of WordPress site development at the code level.
In-depth understanding of the Magento core software and its functions at the code level.
Magento certification a plus.
Experience with marketing automation tools and integration (HubSpot experience an advantage).
Experience working with Google Analytics and Google Data Studio.
Strong project management skills including conceptualization, driving alignment,planning resources, handling timelines, and objectives, and delivering analysis and recommendations.
An outstanding communicator, tenacious problem solver, and creative strategist with a focus on the details.
Ability to work on multiple projects with different objectives simultaneously, collaborating with a variety of stakeholders.
Strict adherence to the style guides of each company and their policies for publication.
Good time management skills, including prioritizing, scheduling, and adapting as
necessary.
Demonstrate a high degree of grit, perspective, intellectual honesty, and
professionalism.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a collaborative environment.
Flexible, able to adjust to changing priorities and operate effectively in a fluid and
challenging environment.
