Senior Maintenance Technician - Albin, WY Job at The Maschhoffs
This position is responsible for general repairs and maintenance on company owned and leased assets. These would
include but not limited to Wean-to-Market finishing facilities, Breed-to-Wean sow farms and offices. This position is
would have on call responsibilities.
- Ensure completed maintenance requests meet customer’s satisfaction.
- Research ways to gain efficiencies in daily maintenance and repair costs; communicates these efficiencies to Supervisor.
- Demonstrates all safety SOP, biosecurity and animal welfare protocols.
- Collaborate and closely align with farm managers, other maintenance technicians and staff to deliver best in class quality products and workmanship.
- Troubleshoot, problem solve, and make repairs to farm equipment including feed systems, electrical systems, heating and cooling systems, plumbing systems, ventilation systems and mechanical equipment.
- Maintain a parts and supply inventory.
- Evaluate future facility and equipment requirements, upgrades or replacements.
- Ensure that all the best management practices are consistent with commonly accepted standards for animal welfare.
- Ensure that routine maintenance work is conducted in a manner that safeguards the environment, maintains regulatory compliance and emphasizes like-new results after completion.
- Perform day-to-day production activities as needed. Comply with Animal Care standards and adhere to principles contained within the Core Values and the Animal Care Stakeholder Commitment Statement.
