This person will be working within a team of landscape architects/designers on various project types including recreation/parks, housing, retail commercial/mixed use, destination resort communities, cultural/historic projects, light industrial, and other land use/activities. Applicant should be familiar with green infrastructure practices and have ability to collaborate with civil engineers on sitework.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must have Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Landscape Architecture.
• Must have a minimum 5 – 8 years of experience in landscape architecture.
• Licensed Professional Landscape Architect is preferred.
• Must have strong organizational, written/graphic/speaking skills.
• Must have experience with interdisciplinary teams and creative problem-solving.
• Must possess strong skills: i.e., project management, preparation of technical drawings, construction knowledge.
• Must be proficient with: AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, InDesign.
• Must be proficient handling multiple tasks, projects, and schedules.
• Need ability to respond quickly to rush projects, multiple deadlines, or emergencies.
• Preferred proficiency with: Lumion, Illustrator, freehand sketching/rendering.
• Need valid Driver’s License.
• Need positive service-oriented attitude.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Define document requirements, schedule, and establish production requirements.
• Mentor, empower, and develop the skills of junior landscape design staff.
• Manage and track project performance.
• Prepare master plan reports, construction documents, and construction administration for landscape architecture projects.
• Develop business and client relationships.
• Participate at client and agency meetings.
• Attend community events as needed to represent the firm for business development.
• Interface with governmental agencies, joint venture partners, and other organizations.
• May assist in developing strategic plans for professional practice in the landscape architecture department.
• Must have sound knowledge of industry best practices and a demonstrated commitment to excellence in customer service.
• Must be efficient working on multiple projects simultaneously to meet project deadlines and client needs.
• Assist with management of project budgets and schedules.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
