Scientist in Nanomaterials Job at DDH Advanced Materials
Scientist in Nanomaterials within our R&D team at Newark, Delaware. The successful candidate should have a Ph.D. in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Materials with experience in nanomaterials, nanocomposites, graphene, carbon nanotube, battery or any other new energy/nanomaterial. The candidate must have a very strong technical background and communication, interpersonal skills and a strong commitment to achieving results with an interdisciplinary project team.
Responsibilities
Optimize new and existing chemical manufacturing processes; Implement project strategy, timelines, resource allocation and status communication; Execute laboratory scale studies focused on chemical manufacturing processes; Transfer results to manufacturing sites for scale-up studies; Support final implementation and maintenance; Provide technical support for existing manufacturing facilities; Work closely with R&D team to ensure the safe and effective operation of chemical production facilities.
Qualifications and Required Skills
Ph.D. in in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Materials with experience in nanomaterials, nanocomposites, graphene, carbon nanotube, battery or any other new energy/nanomaterial Experience on GC, FTIR, Raman, nitrogen adsorption/desorption, laser scattering, XRD Experience in related laboratory or manufacturing plant environments; Strong written and verbal communication skills; The candidate needs to work effectively with interdisciplinary teams in a fast-paced, results-driven environment and have the ability to deliver results in multiple areas
Desired Skills: It is strongly desired that the individual have industrial experience in nanomaterial process development from laboratory to pilot plant scale.
