Qualifications
- Have fun while talking to and taking care of your customers!
- Prefer Hardware experience, however not required as we can teach you everything you need to know i
- Must be available to work weekends and closing shifts
- Must be *friendly* and comfortable interacting and communicating with the public
- Must be willing to learn
- Must have basic computer and Math skills
- Ability to listen and communicate effectively
- Ability to use Point of Sale system
Responsibilities
Greet every customers entering and throughout the store
Project a friendly, outgoing demeanor providing a positive representation of Hardware General True Value
Work well with customers as well as associates. Be a team player.
Expected to keep the register area running in harmony with the rest of the store
Does much more than checking out purchases
Oversees special orders, coordinates customer communications including handling phone calls, manages inventory of perishables, trains cashiers, performs data entry, and assists with maintaining a clean store environment
Must be able to maintain a level head even when it gets busy.
Proactively assist customers in solving problems
Ensure all calls are answered promptly, courteously and effectively
Forward any customer complaint that cannot be handled to a member of management
Possess strong product knowledge and knowledge of store layout and location of products
Assist customers throughout the register transaction with personal, customized service, based on the premise of amazing every customer, every time
Assist in creating a positive, professional and safe work environment
Assist with receiving, checking in and stocking of merchandise throughout the store
Assist with maintaining back stock levels
Assist with daily maintenance, orderliness and cleanliness of the sales floor, stock room and outdoor merchandise area
Assist with providing a clean and orderly sales floor, including end caps and ad merchandise
Assist with merchandise resets through the store
Assist in price changes and verify pricing compliance.
Communicate any Store Support Center issue to General Manager for follow up
Communicate any merchandising, cost control or sales idea to General Manager
Participate in store meetings
Be professional in appearance and actions
Perform all other duties as assigned
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $11.00 - $17.00 per hour
