We are hiring a Wood Solutions Sales Consultant. You will be joining a dedicated and seasoned team of Wood Category Sales Consultants. The Category Sales Consultants are located across the country with the united goal of achieving the regional and national sales targets of the Steelcase Wood Category. You will focus your time engaging with the broader Steelcase selling organization and the Steelcase dealer network to support both the A+D community and our clients directly in helping them to create incredible private office and conferencing applications that are far ahead of the competition. You will leverage your technical selling skills to position our unique portfolio of Wood Category products and services with our dealers and assist them with their selling and product specification needs. You will have an internal network of support that includes skilled Product Application Consultants, designers, engineers, marketers, and more to assist in your product positioning and proactive selling efforts. Moreover, you will also receive in-depth training on all Steelcase Wood Category products and Steelcase, Inc products alike. Upon completion, this exceptional training will enable you to collaborate with the Steelcase regional sales teams (including A+D Managers, Dealer Business Managers, Strategic Account Managers, and Global Account Managers) and other Wood Category Sales Consultants on strategies to provide the best Wood product solutions for our customers.


The Wood Category Sales Consultants seek to provide an unmatched experience and highly differentiated value to our dealer partners, the end-users, and the A+D community by utilizing advanced product knowledge and a keen understanding of the customer's business. Under this plan, we drive to develop creative solutions that exceed customer expectations while maintaining healthy profit margins that are aligned with Wood Category’s fiscal objectives.


This is a sales role covering the South-Central region including
Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, and Mississippi. Must be able to travel 30-40%.


Relationships

  • Ability to build strong relationships with but not limited to: A+D, Dealers, Clients and Sales teams
  • Expert interpersonal skills with coaching and mentoring capabilities
  • Develops credible reputation through accounts, projects and experiences

  • Extensive project management skills necessary for large projects using a multi-disciplined team approach.


Qualifications:

  • Business and/or design degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Proficient in Microsoft Office, Salesforce, (CET is a plus)
  • Professional sales role that typically requires a minimum of 5-10 years of experience with a proven sales record preferred
