Sales Assistant (Customer Service)

ProSource of Boston is looking for a passionate self-starter who is looking to grow and build a career with a great company. This position begins as an hourly wage, is overtime-eligible, and comes with the opportunity to move into a great sales opportunity. As a Sales Assistant, you will play a very important role in support of the sales team and the showroom in general. You will also be responsible for general office/clerical duties, customer service, and coordination of the showroom’s samples program.

Other duties for the Sales Assistant are as folllows:

• Sign-in showroom visitors into our proprietary software system.

• Assist our team of Account Managers by taking customer payments and signing out samples.

• Reach out to trade professional prospects by telephone, explain the benefits of ProSource, and invite them into our showroom.

• Schedule appointments for showroom tours with prospective members.

• Update the showroom floor with new products and pricing.

• Work with the Sales Manager to ensure service is delivered at a high standard.

• Assist in keeping the sales area and showroom in grand-opening ready condition.

Other requirements for the Customer Service / Sales Assistant include:

• Ability to effectively communicate numerical data as well as calculate figures and amounts (discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages)
• Detail-oriented and able to multi-task

• Computer savvy

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Proven strength to follow through on commitments

• Knowledge of the flooring or kitchen and bath industry and/or interest in interior design are a plus

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
