Research Associate: Job Summary

We seek to hire a focused, industrious, and likable candidate to fill a Research Associate position. The successful candidate must be either a US citizen, or a US work-eligible permanent resident.

As a Research Associate, the successful candidate will perform a variety of duties to help keep the Laboratory and office running smoothly. Our ideal candidate is an efficient, dynamic, and cooperative individual who can perform well while juggling multiple tasks without direct supervision.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist in the develop new laboratory assays
• Perform laboratory assays and procedures with minimal direct supervision
• Handle human blood or tissue samples and process them
• Operate robotic equipment
• Operate office machinery, including photocopiers, scanners, telephone and voicemail systems, and computers
• Maintain updated systems for filing, inventory, mailing, and databases

Research Associate: Requirements and Qualifications

• Must be comfortable and be prepared to work with human blood and tissues.
• Proficient in the use of computers, including database software, document management software, and Microsoft Office
• Prior laboratory experience
• Strong communication skills; ability to interact productively with supervisors, peers, and subordinates
• Superb organizational skills
• Excellent time management
• College degree in the biological or allied sciences preferred
• Reliable and professional with proven track record of honesty and good attendance
