We are excited to announce that our team at Post Acute Specialist is expanding! We have new opportunities for mobile sonographers to help the needs of our seniors in Lubbock, Amarillo, San Antonio, Dallas, El Paso, Corpus, and Houston.

Our Diagnostic Medical Sonographers enjoy the opportunity to direct their own schedules and work the hours they prefer to work. Your weekly schedule and total number of hours will vary depending on your availability and needs. This opportunity is ideal for those looking to supplement their current job.

Ultrasound Technician Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensure the highest level of patient care possible; Reassure patients and make them feel comfortable and safe during the imaging process
  • Communicate and coordinate with the location team with regard to patient needs and schedules.
  • Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of equipment capabilities; Set up ultrasound equipment for procedures and ensure that area and equipment are sanitized and in good working order.
  • Can work independently and cooperatively to maintain a team environment that promotes mutual respect, professionalism and a shared mission to provide patients with the highest level of care;
  • Use proper patient positioning tools, devices, equipment adjustment, and ergonomically correct scanning techniques to ensure patient comfort and safety, and to prevent compromised data acquisition or musculoskeletal injury to the sonographer.
  • Renders first aid to radiology patients when necessary; notifies appropriate personnel of emergency situations.

SALARY/RATE: CONTRACT PER EXAM/STUDY PERFORMED

  • $90.00/per study: (Carotid Duplex, Upper/Lower extremity, venous or arterial studies, venous duplex & insufficiency studies).
  • $60.00 FOR FULL 3/LEVEL ABI (to include: 3 level segmental pressure & recorded waveforms).

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Extensive sonography education, training, and experience in the specialty area(s) to be performed.
  • Demonstrated competence in the specialty area(s) to be performed, including sonographer certification by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS), American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
  • Demonstrated commitment to professional growth and lifelong learning.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with computer skills and software programs for documentation activities and report generation.

SCHEDULE: Self-directed, flexible schedule per week.
