The Regional Inventory Manager strives to optimize inventory management and slot management and to minimize liquidation across regional network while supporting strategies, initiatives, and overall customer service excellence of the divisions and Gordon Food Service.
Responsibilities:

Refines and executes regional strategies to drive efficiencies in network solutions related to divisional liquidation management, slot management, discontinued inventory, recycle inventory, out of stock, and overall service profile to our customers.

Influence divisional inventory service levels through collaboration with Inventory Specialist team, Regional Merchandising Team, Supply Chain, National Sales Teams and Divisional Sales and Marketing teams.

Ensures relevant data and analytics are provided to regional merchandising managers to assist in category management decisions and to maximize overall slot profitability.

Drives effective and open communication and information sharing between the inventory specialist team and relevant internal and external customers.

Manages a team of regional inventory support specialist(s). Interviews, hires, trains, and retains staff. Conducts performance monitoring of staff, initiates follow through with disciplinary action and termination in consultation with Human Resources when appropriate for the department. Mentors, motivates, and develops staff. Serves as a role model.

Assists Division Sales and Marketing and Supply Chain with successful onboarding for key customers as it relates to inventory assumption.

Performs other duties as assigned
Our leading candidate will have:

At least 5 years previous inventory management, supply chain, purchasing or product management related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain or related field preferred.
