Job Summary/Objective
Applies Agile principles to the development of high quality applications and software solutions for the Collision Repair Network (CRN) line of business. Creates user stories and acceptance criteria in cooperation with the business and development team. Determines and/or specifies test methods / strategy for software, verification, and validation. Carries out static and dynamic testing, and provides feedback on all areas of the development lifecycle within an agile development team.

A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is required, with a focus in Computer Science or related discipline. In the absence of a degree, equivalent work experience directly related to the key responsibilities of the role will be considered as a substitute for the degree.

Job Summary/Objective

Key Responsibilities & Duties (essential to the job)
- Assists in the development of user stories and acceptance criteria within an Agile team
- Participates in Agile sprint planning meetings, daily stand ups and backlog refinement. Verifies that iterations and sprints are working as designed and provides approval
- Identifies and creates input data based on specifications; determines output based on business rules
- Analyzes test results for accuracy and compliance; finds root cause of problems and recognizes those that recur, and contributes to resolution process. Provides results to appropriate staff and management
- Logs issues and system bugs with appropriate detail; sets appropriate severity level
- Assists team in finding software solutions and writes SQL statements to assist in solution implementation
- Works closely with developers on the Agile team (and with product owners) to devise test cases and test plans that ensure comprehensive coverage of positive and negative test cases against user story requirements
- Ensures appropriate test coverage of the application, clearly documents and understands which features are covered by manual tests
- Maintains and organizes test suites for features, regression test suites across SaaS products and individual test plans for specific improvements
- Assists other teams as required
- Performs demonstrations of developed software to clients and business representatives.

Quality Assurance Analyst
- At least 2 years prior experience testing software in a structured QA environment
- Solid understanding of Agile practices
- Ability to test REST APIs, Single Page Applications (SPA), and Progressive Web Apps (PWA)
- Intermediate SQL knowledge
- Experience with formal testing methodologies and defect reporting procedures
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work successfully with cross-functional teams
- Able to analyze software applications to verify products conform to stated requirements
- A heightened overall analytical aptitude to apply quality assurance (QA) principles
- Able to work autonomously
- Ability to coach junior team members on medium to low complexity efforts
