Reports to: Production Manager
Shift: Second Shift: Monday - Friday, 4pm - 1am

JOB SUMMARY
As a Production Supervisor, this position is responsible for leading daily production operations to ensure the manufacturing process remains smooth and efficient by organizing workflows and monitoring staff. The Production Supervisor will be responsible for directing, training, mentoring and assisting lower-level manufacturing and production workers. The Production Supervisor will lead the activities of other employees through technical knowledge, experience and sound decision-making abilities to support product quality and ensure customer satisfaction.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

- Ensuring team is adhering to safety policies, continuously pushing safety as a top priority.
- Focuses on driving Safety, Quality, and productivity by managing the daily activities, work assignments and communications throughout the assigned department.
- Trains and develops Crew Leaders and Process Assistants. Responsible for annual review process.
- Support continuous improvement activities in the department.
- Approves vacation requests, time-off and supports daily time tracking in Paycor.
- Supervises work output and effectiveness for Crew Leaders and Process Assistants.
- Involved in on boarding process for all new hires, including check in process throughout their first 90 days.
- Involved in coaching and counselling of all employees.
- Partners with cross-functional teams. Responds to Production Operations and Quality Control to ensure product output meets throughput and quality standards set forth by Operations and Quality management.
- Document the progress of new employees and assist the department Manager in the 90-day evaluations for these employees.
- Observe the progress and performance of all departmental personnel and assist management in the evaluation of these employees.
- Track and post daily departmental metrics as established by Plant Management.
- Responsible for all safety related PPE for all employees and ensures safety protocols are followed daily.
- Assists in establishing succession planning for the department.
- Assist with any other duties and projects as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 2-years prior leadership experience, preferably in a manufacturing setting, and experience in a lean manufacturing environment is a plus.
- Strong Leader with ability to lead a multi-disciplined team
- Ability to coach and develop team members of different backgrounds
- Ability to make effective decisions, seek to find solutions to problems
- Good organizational and communication skills
- Able to work overtime when needed
- Ability to do shift work as needed
