JOB SUMMARY:
We are looking for a dynamic, fun, and growth-minded Occupational Therapist with pediatric experience, who would enjoy the opportunity to work with a diverse caseload of children, in addition, to participating in program development activities that not only support families but also helps to grow the practice with the support of a multi-disciplinary team of dedicated therapists.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Complete evaluation, treatment, consultation, and discharge planning for children within the outpatient clinic program.
- Documentation within the practice’s electronic medical record.
- Maintain communication with the child’s primary physician and other healthcare providers through progress reports, phone calls, or other forms of communication.
- Assess and make recommendations regarding appropriate assistive technology/adaptive equipment as needed, provide written justification, and coordinate the purchase of equipment for a child with the family, team members, service coordinator, and other allied professionals.
- Help develop new programs and/or services in collaboration with other team members and upper management.
- Participate in training and staff meetings.
- All other duties as assigned.

- Available to work to work 2-3 days until 6pm to support families in need of after-school appointments.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited college or university.
- Active Virginia State Licensure in good standing.
- Minimum 1-3 years of experience working with the pediatric population as an Occupational Therapist preferably in an outpatient clinic setting.
- Proficient in the ability to determine medical necessity based on informal assessment measures.
- Basic computer experience (Microsoft Office, Internet, Electronic Medical Records, etc).
- Reliable transportation.
- Valid Virginia driver’s license and automobile insurance.
- Completion of Background Check.
- Negative TB Test.
- Proof of full COVID-19 vaccination status.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bilingual in English/Spanish.
- Sensory Integration certified or trained.
- Floortime experience.
- Feeding experience.
