Operations Assistant
Wilsonart, Temple, Texas has an immediate opening for an Operations Assistant. This role will provides a wide variety of administrative and staff support services to the Director of Operations and other manufacturing and operations team members as assigned, and that the business functions efficiently. Administers programs, projects and/or processes specific to manufacturing and operations. Performs other tasks as required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Locates and attaches appropriate files to correspondence to be answered by employer
Composes letters and memoranda from dictation, verbal direction or from knowledge of company policy and procedures
Participate in or lead department or company programs (holiday events or programs, etc.)
Coordinate and schedule communication meetings: Viewpoint, department meetings, etc.
Facilitate technology needs for successful meetings: telephone, computer, presentation set up. Arrange meeting rooms, food, etc.
Prepares professional presentations (Word, Power Point, Excel)
Compiles and maintains records of business transactions and office activities of establishment utilizing knowledge of systems or procedures
Composes announcements, postings, letters, emails, memorandum and other communication as needed
Assists executive in some administrative details, usually of a confidential nature
Orders supplies and other materials as needed
Schedules/makes appointments, travel arrangements, hotel accommodations, car rental, etc
Answers telephone and gives information to callers and routes calls
Reads and routes incoming mail, answers correspondence and prepares outgoing mail
Performs other position appropriate duties as required in a competent, professional and courteous manner.

Strong administrative and organization acumen and understanding of business operations
Project manager training and experience is a plus
Demonstrated success working in a cross-departmental organization environment
Credibility to lead and influence at all levels
Team player with proven track record of managing projects
Able to develop and manage project plans and coordinate people and internal/external resources to achieve results outlined in plan
Strong communication skills in both written and verbal format
Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, and Power Point) and HRIS experience. (Access and Workday preferred)
Ability to use SmartSheet
Knowledge of work requirements of individuals within the department
Ability to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the position
Ability to manage multiple priorities
