Description
Plans, organizes, and directs the operational activities of the office, including supervision for all staff, ensuring there is compliance with the Company’s policies and procedures, under the direction of the Associate Vice President of Operations. The Office Supervisor as well as the front desk staff answers phones, schedules appointments, provides test results and answers questions about the patient's bill. Communicates effectively with patients, physicians, staff members and all other internal and external contacts. Promotes and maintains the goals and objectives of the company while representing the facility with a positive, professional attitude and professional appearance at all times.
Qualifications
Associates or Bachelors' degree preferred. Minimum of 2 to 3 years’ Supervisory experience in a medical office or in a hospital. Must possess a thorough understanding and experience on the front desk and supervising a medical office practice and possess the skills required to run an operationally efficient practice. Excellent organizational, written and verbal skills; must be able to think independently and use good judgment for situations that require initiative and ingenuity and be detail oriented. Must possess excellent interpersonal skills necessary to communicate tactfully and effectively with employees and internal and external customers. Must have knowledge of Company’s policies and procedures. Must be familiar with all medical procedures performed in the office and/or hospital. Must have a working knowledge of industry regulations. Must be able to work on the front desk, handle multiple tasks, assignments, and deadlines simultaneously. Must possess problem solving skills and abilities. Must have proficient computer skills and be familiar with electronic health record systems. Must be flexible with working hours to accommodate the needs of the facility, physicians and management.
