Mfg. Manager / Sr. Mfg. Engineer Job at CiDRA
Position Summary:
Responsible for developing and maintaining Manufacturing Instructions, Routings, Time Trials to establish labor costs, manufacturing tooling, resolve MRB’s, support manufacturing technicians and ensure production attainment. Direct management of production and refurbishment team.
Experience:
- One to five years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably including Assembly and Test
- Hands on mechanical/electrical fabrication/repair/maintenance of machines and fixtures
- Design experience desirable but not required
- Production line Supervisory/Management experience desirable
Education/Skills:
- Associates Engineering degree or higher is preferred or equivalent technical experience
- Proficient in Blueprint reading, including ANSI Y14.5 GT&D
- Strong organizational, analytical and communication skills
- Proficient with Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office programs, ERP Systems
- Solid Works (CAD Software)
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate existing manufacturing processes and workflows to support continuous improvement initiatives
- Participate in cross-functional team meetings to ensure design for manufacturability
- Manage team of technicians to support production requirements and timely system refurbishments with high production yields and excellent quality
- Motivate and mentor team to efficiently achieve production goals within budget
- Participate in the Manufacturing & Production Control weekly meeting
- Maintenance of the Manufacturing Dispatch List (WiP tracking)
- Submit manufacturing driven REA’s for drawing revisions
- Participate in the ECO process and release
- Establish an effective and efficient work sequence for new products, including development of Manufacturing Instructions and associated fixtures and tooling
- Effectively communicate throughout the organization
- Create and enforce a Safety-First environment
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Manufacturing Manager
