Job Title: Corporate Development / M&A Associate
Location: Remote - Central and Eastern Time zone residents preferred.
Department: Corporate Development
Reports To: VP, Corporate Development
Salary: Negotiable based on skills and experience.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Corporate Development / M&A Associate sources and evaluates the organization's opportunities for targeted mergers and acquisitions. Identifies and pursues opportunities that support business strategy and growth through mental/behavioral health industry networking including direct calling efforts, broker/investment banker relationships, and conference attendance. Gathers initial data from target and performs preliminary financial and background analyses for presentation of any recommendations to VP, Corporate Development.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Y ears of Related Experience: 3-5
Education: Bachelors' degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Marketing, or a clinical field.
Work experience: 3-5 years' progressive experience in healthcare sales and marketing required. Experience in behavioral health industry is highly desirable.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Knowledge of healthcare reimbursement and regulatory standards.
  • Proven success in relationship development.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with members of the marketing and clinical teams to establish and achieve referral goals.
  • Demonstrates concern for meeting internal and external customer's needs in a manner that provides satisfaction for the customer within the resources that can be made available.
  • Professional sales skills required.
  • Independent judgment necessary. Supervisor is usually available.
  • Central or Eastern time zone residents preferred
Interpersonal Skills: Comfortable using a broad range of communication styles, and ability to choose appropriate, effective ways to communicate to different audiences in diverse situations. Effective and articulate communicator to all levels of the organization.

Travel Requirements: Position is fully remote. Out-of-the-area and overnight travel is expected.

Essential Job Duties/Percent Of Time:
  • Source and recommend new leads through referrals, cold calling, networking, and other means of communication. Cultivate and maintain long term relationships with owners and referral sources by delivering elite client service and engaging them by using knowledge of each industry and organization. 65%
  • Understand and articulate Seaside’s full line of business offerings, capabilities, and competitive advantages, and identify and refer opportunities within each of these areas to Executive Leadership to close. 20%
  • Recommend and implement improvements to the M&A process by performing timely and relevant industry research and strategic analyses while keeping track of the deal funnel.
  • Prepare ad-hoc analyses for senior management as necessary. 10%
  • Other duties as assigned/required. 5%
