We are currently hiring for Mechanical Design Engineer in Lake Forest, IL.

What will you do as a Mechanical Design Engineer:

• Coordinate activities involved in fabrication, operation, application, installation, and repair of machinery, including documentation and testing and managing vendor relationships.
• Research, plan, and design machinery and automation systems to meet customer specifications; and create/modify/update all mechanical drawings from sketches, markups and verbal instructions
• Reviews and helps define projects with Customer, Sales, Engineering, Production and Service Department
• Perform necessary engineering calculations to assure sound detailed designs; and prepare detailed drawings of machines and parts in SolidWorks

Who qualifies for the Mechanical Design Engineer position?

• Candidates with a BSME (Bachelors of Sceince in Mechanical Engineering) or equivalent work experience in the food or food-related industry
• Must have 5-10 years of successful experience in Automated Machine and System Design within a food related industry
• Candidates with the ability to use SolidWorks for production of mechanical models, detail and assembly drawings
• Must be able to interpret blueprints and technical concepts; and experience with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
• Candidates with experience in an inventory management/Bill of Material system

What hours will the Mechanical Design Engineer work:

• Monday - Friday
• 8:30am-5:00pm
• Temp to Hire or Full-Time
• OT possible, based on business needs

How much will you earn as a Mechanical Design Engineer:

• Salary Range between $90K-$120K, based on experience
• Get paid weekly!
