SUMMARY: Warehouse order picker will be responsible for the picking, packaging, transacting, loading, and shipping of transfer and sales orders. The warehouse order picker is responsible for the safety and storage of put away material and general housekeeping and cleanliness of the warehouse.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Includes the following and other duties may be assigned:

· Pick, transact, and ship transfer and sales orders using bar code scanning technology

· Label, wrap, and stage inventory for shipment

· Load less than truckload (LTL) and full truckload (FTL) shipments

· Overall safety and storage of put away material into fixed rack locations (I.E shrink wrapped or banded material to pallets, etc.)

· General housekeeping, appearance, and cleanliness of finished good materials and sections of the warehouse

· Ability to work overtime

· Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS: Ability to operate a forklift machine. Knowledge of ERP picking put away, and shipping system (barcode, AS400 program). Strong attention to detail with a strong work ethic.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or equivalent, 2-3 years’ experience in warehouse setting. Ability or aptitude to operate powered industrial equipment such as stand-up reach truck forklifts, sit down forklifts, and walkie rider pallet jacks.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports. Ability to speak English effectively to management and employees of organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to work with numerous large numbers and multiple units of measure.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk. The employee frequently is required interrupt numerical and alpha letterings and match accordingly to pick lists. The employee must frequently lift and /or move up to 50 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to various conditions of lighting, mixed forklift areas and several packaging equipment.
