Position Summary:

Responsible for the intake, assignment, and review of moderate-to-high risk level Team Member complaints. Leads and provides coaching and mentorship to the Internal Investigations Team, who are responsible for investigating moderate-to-high risk level team member complaints. Ensures findings, recommended actions, and remedial measures are appropriate. Provides consultation to managers and Human Resources (HR) in reporting results of fact-finding investigations into team member complaints. Prepares and presents written and verbal investigative reports and recommendations. Oversees administration of T.I.P.S. Line Program, including providing thought leadership. Analyzes data and trends related to workplace investigations and T.I.P.S. Line reports, develops, and directs quarterly Board-level Workplace Investigations Reports, and presents to senior executives. Develops and directs other trending reports as necessary. At all times maintains the highest levels of professionalism, integrity, fairness, and diligence, and works to ensure an ethical culture.

Major Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for the review, appropriate intake, assignment, and timely completion of cases to the Internal Investigations Team. Provide updates and findings to appropriate stakeholders. Working with HR and Legal, ensure that recommendations and remedial measures are consistent, appropriate, and enacted. Partner with HR and other internal customers as needed to identify and develop remedial action plans, including identifying appropriate training and knowledge quizzes.

  • Reviews completed reports from Internal Investigations Team and address any deficiencies. Ensures documentation are timely entered into the appropriate case management system.

  • Provides coaching and mentorship to Internal Investigations team. Stays up to date with best practices in workplace investigations and provides thought leadership to keep investigations program current with the same.

  • Oversees administration of T.I.P.S. Line program, including consulting with Compliance Specialist and internal customers regarding T.I.P.S. Line Reports, following up with stakeholders to ensure timely completion of T.I.P.S. Line Reports, and providing thought leadership regarding the program.

  • In partnership with Compliance Specialist, analyzes data and trends related to investigations and T.I.P.S. Line Reports. Develops and directs the drafting of quarterly Board-level Workplace Investigations Report (including North America and UK T.I.P.S. Line data, Ethics/Level 3 investigations, and Human Resources activity), and presents the same to senior executives, including C-level executives. Develops and directs the drafting of quarterly Banner-specific Workplace Investigations Report and presents the same to Banner leaders.

  • Oversee Internal Investigations Team and ensure consistent and timely service. Maintain confidentiality regarding Team Member information, investigation files and data, department initiatives, and compliance issues. Ensures all Team Member confidential or sensitive information is protected and always secured.

  • Conducts high level, high visibility investigations (e.g., investigations involving executives and/or HR team members at HRBP level and above).

Position Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience. Advanced degree preferred, but not required.

Acceptable Job-Related Experience: Formal HR or Legal training. Experience in conducting workplace investigations.

Years of Job-Related Experience: 5+ years

Technical/Other Skills: Advanced knowledge of investigative techniques, practices, and concepts. Critical thinking, analytical acumen, superior writing, and communication skills. Bilingual skills is a plus.
