Job Description
****This is a seasonal/part-time position.****
The Maintenance Worker II, under general supervision, ensures the safe working environment in Texas A&M Forest Service owned facilities and properties by conducting repairs and completing construction projects.
Responsibilities:
- Perform both routine and non-routine maintenance on established facilities within the Texas A&M Forest Service. Construct/build/remodel facilities as needed to support agency operations. Construction must follow established standards and safety requirement.
- Work in extreme weather conditions (extreme hot/cold/sleet/snow). Long drives in a State vehicle may be required. Overnight stays may also be required.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
Required Education: High school diploma

Preferred Education: Technical or trade school certifications
Required Experience: 10 years in construction or related field

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Required Knowledge: Knowledge of electrical, plumbing.
Required Abilities: Operate power tools. Follow standard construction methods. Work on individual and team projects. Work in tight areas and heights. Multi-task and work cooperatively with others.

Required: Valid Texas driver’s license.
