Maintenance Worker Job at Dolan Memory Care Homes
General Description:
Under supervision of the Director of Facilities Maintenance provides primary support and assistance in the physical maintenance and general up keep of Company property and equipment. Ensure the safety of residents at all times by ensuring equipment, physical plant and resident environment is safe, secure and in good repair.
Primary Duties:
- Floor and carpet cleaning
- Clean and maintain common restrooms in office and recreational areas
- Clean and maintain recreational and meeting rooms in offices and community center
- Maintain all interior and exterior lighting
- Clean interior and exterior of all windows
- Clean and maintain central vacuum
- Clean and maintain furniture
- Maintain landscaping and remove snow and ice as required
- Assist in moving furniture, equipment, supplies as well as residents personal belongings.
- Cleaning, painting, and repairing the walls
- Complete assigned tasks as directed by immediate supervisor
General:
- Communicates with co-workers, caregivers, house managers, supervisor, and ownership in positive proactive manor.
- Attends staff training sessions.
- Maintains office/work area in professional, organized manner.
- Reports all incidents and or injury to residents or employees, by completion of incident report and verbal report to immediate supervisor prior to or at the end of each shift.
- Gossiping or other forms of communication which may be construed to be inappropriate language either verbal or written is prohibited. Supports and maintains strict confidentiality in accordance with company policy and directives.
- In the event the employee would be asked to use their vehicle or ride in a vehicle in connection with their position seat belts are to worn at all times while riding or driving. Provide copy of valid insurance certificate.
- Illegal drug free, smoke and alcohol free while on premises and duty.
- Cell phone use is prohibited during working hours for personal use.
- Stealing of any kind, “borrowing” from the company, residents, associates, and or visitors is strictly prohibited.
Qualifications:
- Proficient in the use of cleaning equipment and repair tools.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English; demonstrate a willingness to work within a specialized healthcare environment.
- Maintain company equipment and tools in professional workmen like manner. Use of all equipment must be carried out in accordance to all company, manufacturer and government rules and regulations.
- Physically able to lift 100 lbs or greater, stoop, bend, squat, walk and stand without impairment.
- Must possess a valid Missouri drivers license
- Must have personal vehicle for travel to company facilities. Truck-type vehicle preferred.
