Sapphire Nursing at Meadow Hill is currently looking is currently seeking a full time Maintenance Tech. This position is responsible for ensuring resident and staff safety by being responsible for repairs to the facility building and furnishings.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement preventative maintenance procedures.

• Manage heating and plumbing systems to guarantee functionality.
• Plan and schedule repairs.
• Conduct periodic quality checks on equipment and systems to ensure everything is up to standard and code..
• Perform general maintenance tasks including painting, and carpentry.
• Clean and assist with upkeep of facility.
• Ice and snow ice removal.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 18 yrs. age required, HS diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Related work experience required.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing and construction systems and methods.
• Basic knowledge of tools and their use.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, carpentry and painting skills.
• Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record required.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions required.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of standing and walking.

• Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend and crawl into awkward spaces.

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
