Job Description

We are seeking a driven individual with a passion for the packaging industry. One of our clients is looking to add a strong Maintenance Manager to their team. Responsibilities include:

1) Manage workload and schedule for maintenance employees

2) Enforce safety requirements within the facility

3) Follow and support all food safety programs, policies and PPE, as designated

4) Conduct performance evaluations for maintenance employees

5) Handle disciplinary issues with maintenance employees according to the company’s progressive discipline policy

6) Research and purchase necessary supplies, equipment and services for the manufacturing equipment, maintenance shop, building and grounds

7) Maintain the Maintenance Tracking Software Database

8) Schedule and follow up on Preventative Maintenance activities

9) Negotiate pricing for purchases

10) Act as the primary interface with our equipment manufacturers for troubleshooting, parts ordering, equipment upgrades and technical visits

11) Serve as the leader for equipment installations and modifications

12) Maintain adequate spare parts inventories for critical parts

13) Work on the floor with the other Maintenance employees to accomplish necessary objectives

14) Review progress with the Plant Manager

15) Preserve the safety and integrity of the company

16) Lead employees toward continuous improvement in systems, equipment and performance

17) Implement cost containment initiatives

18) Follow daily, weekly and monthly housekeeping procedures

19) Participate in the Safety Committee and lead safety initiatives

20) Perform all other duties as assigned

Critical Requirements

1) Appropriate full-time work experience is mandatory (no students or fresh graduates please)

2) Recent experience in the packaging industry is strongly preferred

3) Preference will be given to candidates with recent experience in maintenance management

Base Salary: Highly competitive package, commensurate with experience
