Summary:
The Maintenance Control team is actively seeking top talent to join the team. This full-time position is 100% remote reporting to the Director of Maintenance, featuring a 3/12 Fri- Sun schedule. The ideal candidate is comfortable working a 9am- 9pm shift.
Responsibilities:
- Safely managing daily maintenance requirements of the Jet Edge fleet in a timely manner
- Make accurate and efficient decisions on changes in schedule to resolve conflicts between Maintenance events and the operations schedule.
- Reviews with Mechanic/Pilot proper write-up to be entered into Western Air Charter Form 215 Aircraft Discrepancy Sheet.
- Reviews records for Compliance and accuracy of the unscheduled maintenance event, ensures all required logbook entries have been made
- Responsible for requesting quotes and scheduling service for Maintenance events with Jet Edge approved maintenance facilities and mechanics, ensuring accurate and timely information is conveyed to operations for AOG and delayed aircraft
- Responsible for building, scheduling, and releasing aircraft from Mx events, by review and updating tracking systems by use of MX work orders
- Initiates Form 206 Contacts necessary personnel to begin RTS process, maintain updates as required to Operation Control Center (OCC) and Maintenance control center (Mxcc)
- Assists mechanics in troubleshooting aircraft deficiencies, work through procedures to identify proper parts required and arrange for their shipment if required. Provide current technical documentation as needed
- Issues MEL for deferred maintenance issues and controls MEL control log WACI Form 216 and enters MEL into CMP.net or CAMP for tracking
- Assists scheduled Maintenance and Inspection planning and laying out the details of inspections and other work to be performed if the aircraft schedule permits additional time to meet compliance
- Will assist the Chief Inspector / DOM in the surveillance of FAR 135 operations for compliance
- Supervise Maintenance in the oversight of ongoing maintenance projects scheduled or unscheduled. Will ensure that schedules are met and daily updates provided to MXCC
- Monitors daily activities, receives calls from the field in reference to aircraft being placed out of service for unscheduled maintenance events
- Communicate with Flight Support and internal departments on aircraft status focusing on aircraft in work, awaiting maintenance, and/or awaiting parts
- Coordinates all activities from initial contact to RTS to include, but not limited to, personnel requirements, possible multiple shift requirements, parts requirements and affectivity, special tooling/facility requirement, and travel and hotel accommodations as required with the assistance of the OCC
- Coordinates with crews, Cabin attendants, and inflight services to maintain the condition and appearance of the aircraft, as it relates to the Jet Edge Brand
- Other duties and special projects as assigned
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Airframe and Powerplant Certificate minimum 3 years of inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of Large category transport aircraft
- Prefer 3 years in a supervisory position with regard to inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of Large category transport aircraft
- Experienced in Bombardier
- Inspection Authorization is a plus
- Previous MX Control preferred
