Local Truck Driver CDL A Route Delivery - $29/hour - Local Work Job at SPEC
We are looking for reliable CDL A Truck Divers for local route delivery in the Tracy, CA area. We delivery medical supplies to hospitals, surgery centers, and other medical centers in the Bay Area.
Pay: $29/hr (overtime after 8 hours, DT after 12)
Schedule:
Tuesday-Saturday - 4pm Dispatch time
Sunday - Thursday - 2am Dispatch Time
Most of our drivers are working 50-60 hours a week, expect the same
MUST have a high level of customer service when dealing with our customers.
Requirements of the Local Truck Driver CDL A Route Delivery
- Current DOT Medical Car
- Hold a valid Class A Commercial Driver´s License
- 1 Year prior verifiable experience driving CDL A Trucks
- Experience Driving Tractor Trailer in Snow and in Montains
- Legally eligible to work in the U.S.
- Able to work in all types of environments and under difficult conditions; hot, cold, dust, indoors, outdoors
- Must be flexible with work schedule; some mandatory OT on weekends.
- Be in excellent physical condition and be able to stand, sit, kneel, bend, lift, push, pull for extended periods and have normal use of senses
- Experience with local, multiple-stop deliveries: foodservice, beverage delivery, LTL, etc.
- Be able to lift, push, pull up to 75 pounds with no assistance
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
- DOT screening will include pre-employment Drug screen, MVR, and Criminal Background checks.
Responsibilities of the Local Truck Driver CDL A Route Delivery
- Backing in and out of docks
- Drive trucks to transport materials and equipment to specific route destinations
- Checking mechanical aspects of the vehicle
- Reporting maintenance/repair issues on tractors and trailers
- Touch freight – unloading using manual and/or electric pallet-jack and/or hand-cart
