POSITION SUMMARY
Maintains records of materials in inventory and on order. Reconciles discrepancies in inventories and notifies supervisor of irregularities.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitors current inventory levels; tracks orders and investigates problems.
- Maintains database, performs physical count of inventory, and reconciles actual stock count to computer-generated reports.
- Oversee the receiving, unpacking, and delivering of goods; re-stocking items as necessary.
- Processes and/or approves invoices for payment.
- Oversee the processing and documenting of returns as required following established procedures.
- Performs routine clerical duties, including data entry, answering telephone, and assisting customers.
- May lead, guide and train staff/student employees, interns and/or volunteers performing related work.
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education:
- High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
- Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS
- Prior inventory experience preferred.
- Knowledge of supplies, equipment, and/or services ordering and inventory control.
- Ability to reconcile stock counts to report data.
- Database management skills.
- Ability to analyze and solve problems.
- Ability to prepare routine administrative paperwork.
- Clerical, word processing, and/or office skills.
- Knowledge of company invoicing procedures.
Computer Skills
- Aptitude to learning internal Computer Software.
- Microsoft Excel 2007
DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS
Position requires a) Monitoring and maintaining current inventory levels, including reconciling stock counts to computer reports; b) resolving inconsistencies; and c) performing routine clerical duties in support of unit.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
- Possession of a valid Missouri driver's license is a requirement for this job.
- COVID-19 vaccination is a requirement for this job.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT
- May require handling of objects that can weigh up to 20 lbs.
