The Ahfachkee K-12 School is located at 31055 Josie Billie Highway Clewiston, FL 33440. This is not in the main city of Clewiston, rather 45 minute drive south. It is about a 45 minute drive east of Immokalee. Coming from Weston it would be about a 55 minute drive to the west on I-75.

Position Summary

The incumbent in this position is responsible for performing instructional and clerical work necessary to assist the Teachers at the Ahfachkee School in planning, preparing, and delivering classroom instruction. The Instructional Aide assists Teachers in the supervision of students, offering strategic attention to students who need additional support, assists in grading student work, assists in taking attendance, assists in organizing class materials and stocking supplies.

Qualifications / Requirements

Associate’s Degree is required. Must have earned a 464 or higher score on the Praxis ParaPro Assessment Test, or must have earned a minimum of sixty (60) college hours. Must possess a valid Florida Driver’s License. Demonstrate excellent organizational and interpersonal skills including English written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of computer software. Ability to appropriately communicate clearly with parents and children. Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes school events held on evenings, weekends and holidays.
