Kidbridge in Hanover is looking to add to our team! We are looking for enthusiastic infant, toddler, and preschool teachers! We are a family run center, and we love to have a team environment! This job will include:

Plan and implement activities that promote the social, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth of children
Plan must correlate with the state curriculum guidelines and be carefully designed to scaffold growth in each child

Provide safe environment by maintaining orderly, clean, and appealing facilities; eliminating or removing known safety hazards; following and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal recommendations.

Encourage students' participation by providing interactive activities.

Inform staff and parents of curriculum by preparing and submitting lesson plans; posting schedules and curriculum outlines.

Ensure consistency of service by maintaining open communications with parents and staff.

Keep the Director informed of any parental concerns and other information regarding the care, safety, and education of children

Encourage development of student self-control by utilizing classroom management and modeling techniques.

Responsible for the care, safety, comfort, hygiene, learning, and developmental activities, specialized programs, and redirection of children
Respond calmly, quickly, and appropriately in an ambiguous and continuously changing, competitive environment

Be able to multi-task and address a variety of issues simultaneously responding quickly and cooperatively to needs of the children and other staff

Enhance pre-school center reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks;

Meets expectations for providing a quality program and demonstrates appropriate behavior that supports customer acquisition and retention

Completes timely and accurate documentation according to KBLC Policies, and state licensing or regulation requirements

Assists and accepts responsibility in other daily center duties that might be temporary in the event other personnel are not available

Attends and participates in all staff meetings, center events, and parent/customer meetings as requested
Requirements: Skills, Education / Knowledge, Experience

EDUCATION / KNOWLEDGE

Preference:
Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Education or related field

Degree in Early Childhood Education or related area highly desirable

EXPERIENCE

1+ years of early childhood education experience desirable

OTHER REQUIREMENTS
EEC Certification Infant/Toddler Certification

Excellent organizational skills and self-motivation required

Ability to be flexible in classroom assignment and work hours required

CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain desirable

COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Excellent verbal, listening, and written communication skills required
Demonstrating Safety Management, Motivates others, Listens and implements conflict resolution techniques, Self-disciplined, Objective, Respects confidentiality, Maintains emotional control

PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORK ENVIRONMENT

Must be able to lift 40 pounds

Stand up to 95% of the day

Assume postures in low level positions that best allow physical and visual contact with children

Must be able to sustain a high level of energy

Bend to perform various tasks numerous times throughout the day

Stoop, sit on the floor

Have the agility to move from a seated position to a standing position promptly to respond to emergency situations
Be able to perform all activities with children, i.e. jump, dance, walk, run, etc. for extended periods of time

Be able to perform duties outdoors for regular, prolonged activities.

Possess hearing and visual capabilities necessary to monitor the environment and children's well being

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
