Human Resources Coordinator Job at Wet Planet Rafting and Kayaking
Wet Planet is looking for a Human Resources Coordinator & General Administrative Assistant to work with our management team!
The HR coordinator will assist with recruitment and onboarding, maintain employee records, assist with payroll processing, assist with benefit administration, employee handbook updates, assist with scheduling, and provide general administrative support to the management team. The HR coordinator may also help resolve potential employee issues, and organize fun staff events, such as our occasional much loved all-staff dinners. A job well done with an eye for detail and care for our team will make everyone happy at Wet Planet!

Each year, many of our guests and team members return to enjoy the abundance of beautiful rivers we raft and kayak in Washington, Oregon and Idaho. Our headquarters are located along the banks of the White Salmon River in the heart of the Columbia River Gorge, surrounded by a whitewater paradise and an incredible community of boaters. It's the perfect location for raft guides and kayakers (and those interested in learning) to work and play in the Pacific Northwest.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Working understanding of human resource principles, practices, and procedures
- Strong time management skills with ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to function well and with flexibility in what can be a fast-paced environment due to seasonality of our business
- Previous (HR/administrative) experience in hospitality, guest services and sales (outdoor industry a plus)
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Availability: full-time/4 days from April through September. (5- to 6-month position).
- At least 1 year of related experience required
- A degree in Human Resource, professional training or proven HR experience preferred

Compensation:
- Hourly, Range: $17-20, based on experience and education
- Simple IRA retirement plan after two years
