The Stick Company is a branding and design agency located in Morgantown, WV, and have recently celebrated our 15-year anniversary. Our team is currently hiring a graphic designer to join the team.

We have an amazing team that is the best in our field and all work our asses off, yet still find ways to have fun while doing it. (Hope you like pizza.) I feel we actually thrive in our own organized chaos! Our shop is both dog-friendly and people-friendly, but only like our music one way -- loud. Giving it to you straight -- there are times we work late and times that are stressful, but we have one major rule - we always work hard.

YOU’LL NEED THIS…

  • Experience in designing for print, branding, web. (wrap design experience a plus)
  • Must be highly proficient in Adobe Suite (Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop).
  • The ability to lead projects with minimal client-direction to create meaningful and accurate content.
  • Must be organized, reliable and have the ability to work well in a fast paced environment.
  • Should also be pretty familiar and experienced with grammar and spell checking.
  • A driven team player, who is a self starter, pro-active and motivated.
  • Proper verbal and writing communication skills are also important.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide art direction for campaigns and execute designs that are effective and on-brand.
  • Work with the Marketing Team to ideate messaging and campaigns for clients.
  • Make proactive suggestions and contributions towards our effort to ensure all marketing communications across various channels and departments remain consistent and align with strategic goals.
  • Elevate visual identity and bring freshness to all branded collateral.
  • Constantly identify opportunities to capitalize on the relationship between the agency and client.
  • Accountable for leading and/or supporting the strategic and design development of multiple small and large scale-marketing projects.
  • Collaborate with internal team for creative execution and development.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years working as a graphic designer
  • Portfolio showcasing innovative design solutions
  • Experience working closely with marketers or doing marketing tasks yourself
  • Ability to hold a strong design vision while remaining collaborative and open to new ideas
  • Exhibit solid understanding of fundamental graphic design concepts with a solid knowledge and use of Adobe Creative Suite—especially Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign
  • Excellent project management skills and a demonstrated ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple assignments from conception to completion on deadline
  • Have a broad understanding of marketing principles & metrics, and be open to learning more
  • Must be self-motivated, deadline-driven and able to work both independently and collaboratively on multiple projects at a time
