Staffworks Group has immediate openings for a Framing Carpenter that will be working in Brockton, MA and surrounding areas.

This position pays $20-$23/HR depending on experience

Hours: Monday -Friday 7:00am-3:30pm – Overtime available

Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation required

Scope of work:

Interior and Exterior Framing of walls, doors, and window installation

Installation of floor and roof trusses, exterior balcony framing and decking

Must have the following tools:

Framer’s tool pouch/belt

Hammer

Tape measure

Razor knife

Speed square

Chalk line

Nail puller / “cat’s paw”

Carpenter’s pencils

Work boots

Long pants

Job Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• OSHA 10 Certification
• Reliable Transportation – Punctuality Essential
• Completed Gravity Resistance Training Provided

Skill Set Requirements:

• Ability to correctly read a tape measure
• Ability to understand basic math and numbers
• Performs other duties as required
• Ability to work hours mandated by management
• Ability to identify safety issues in their work area, and notice equipment malfunctions
• Ability to understand basic verbal and written instructions in English
• Able to follow instructions and complete tasks with some supervision
• Able to stand and secure wall panels
• Can place trusses on layout marks
• Able to sheath roof and decks
• Can cut materials to given measurements – straight and square
• Must be able to produce work at budgeted hours
• Build walls, floors, platforms and decks
• Able to plumb and straighten walls
• Able to transition from one task to another with a minimum loss of time
• Basic exterior trim skills – soffit, fascia, rakes
• Anticipates safety needs and performs work safely
• Must have own hand tools
