Estate Portfolio Manager Job at Empire Distributors
Empire Distributors Inc, A Leading Beverage Distributor is now hiring a Estate Portfolio Manager. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.
The main point of contact between wineries/suppliers & the Company.
- The entry person for large and small wineries for all of Nashville.
- Responsible for selected Fine Wine and Spirit suppliers.
- Meet with suppliers to plan out year, 6 month plan, quarterly goals, and etc.
- Review A.R, goals, pricing, support, incentives, winery plan and initiatives.
- Implement corrective programs/support to change trend in the channel(s) not producing up to agreed upon goals.
- Proactive calls to wineries to address issues, goals, support changes, program updates/results.
Pricing Manager for Estate Portfolio.
- Structure everyday pricing and deal levels for On-Premise.
- On smaller wineries/high-end wineries, this position also handles On-Premise pricing.
- Create Pre-sell offerings monthly for incremental and low inventory business.
- Create/assess monthly chargebacks.
- Work with OP Sales Manager to expedite above paperwork for suppliers.
- Work with suppliers to create deals for sales spikes or from brands changing price/support.
Marketing Manager for Special Events:
- Empire Portfolio/Trade Tastings:
- Ensure pricing is in place with presell support or specials.
- Ensure that adequate inventory & correct vintages are on hand for tastings
- Communicate all facets of tastings and specific responsibilities to DC Operation Manger, Sales Manager, District Managers, Marketing, Purchasing, and Supplier.
- Supplier Tastings:
- Same responsibilities as for EDI Tastings.
- Trade Shows:
- Develop list of target suppliers for trade shows and an Empire Table of cache items and “need to move” items.
Interdepartmental Liaison:
- With Marketing:
- Plan tastings & events, supplier visits.
- Create POS/sell sheets for many of our wineries that do not.
- With Purchasing:
- Help order product to ensure correct inventory levels.
- Buy-ins vs Price increases/fat pallet programs.
- Communicate specific quantities to order for price break and SPA’s with Wine Manager.
- Review Aged Inventory and communicate a plan to move it.
- Produce Inventory Reduction list for aged/slow moving items before they become an issue.
- With TN Sales Team:
- Quarterly FW meetings to review Top 35 Suppliers, trends, issues, calendars
- Monthly goal settings on brands in all channels and opportunities for case sales/distribution on brands within each channel.
- Monthly meetings for calendar review.
- Quarterly review priorities/programs/winery news/special offerings.
- Address Sales Force twice monthly to review focus programs/portfolio news.
Other duties as assigned by the On-Premise Sales Manager.
Education and/or Experience
- Fifth year college or university program certificate; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
- Current Alcohol Permit, Valid Driver's License; Required Auto Insurance
