Dishwasher

Dishwashing work takes on some janitorial and supportive kitchen tasks, including washing dishes and appliances, emptying trash cans, sweeping, scrubbing and mopping floors and performing other tasks as required by management to ensure that the kitchen and dining areas are clean and prepared for guests.

Responsibilities—

- Collecting and cleaning used cooking ware from the kitchen are

- Loading and unloading dishes from the washing machine

- Washing specific items by hand (e.g., cutting boards, large pots and pans and delicate items)

- Storing clean dishes and kitchenware in appropriate areas

- Ensure there are adequate clean dishes, kitchenware and utensils for peak business times

- Check the operation of the washing machine, specifically to ensure adequate levels of detergent and sanitizer—also maintain adequate sanitizer levels in the three compartment sink. Report any issues to management

- Remove garbage regularly, rinse cans as needed and keep garbage corral clear of debris and secured at all times

- Sweep, scrub, squeegee and mop the floor in the kitchen area as needed

- Support other restaurant staff by assisting with other tasks as needed by management

Requirements—

- High School Diploma or equivalent

- Minimal work experience

- Exceptional time management skills

- Ability to stand or work for 8-hour shifts and lift at least 50 pounds

- Willingness to comply with all food safety procedure

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
