Position Summary:
The Director of Sales will lead the sales team, deliver weekly KPI’s, and provide oversight of the sales operation. The Director of Sales must have strong management and operations experience. The Director of Sales must have experience in process development, hiring, training, alongside building and leading a team of up to 50 sales representatives.
This individual will specialize in building, refining, and executing innovative strategies and best practices to consistently exceed revenue goals while advancing company objectives. Experience in having presented and closing deals with fortune 500 companies is a must. The Director of Sales must have in-depth knowledge of the current market, competitive products, excellent customer service, interpersonal, and effective communication skills.
The Director of Sales will be a collaborative leader who excels at mentoring and coaching to challenge team members’ performance and growth. The Director of Sales needs to be highly analytical and have the ability to synthesize data and make sound business recommendations to management. This individual must be a collaborative problem-solver who not only understands the numbers but also the broader business context around them. To be successful, the Director of Sales must be able to ensure the correct usage of systems/tools/processes, provide critical information, and be able to tackle/address roadblocks.
Major Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
- Hire and retain a department of 50 sales reps
- Build and lead a team of sales managers, account executives, and sales representatives Lead in-house seminars and workshops to help improve the effectiveness and productivity of the sales team
- Create an effective sales training program/process
- Demonstrates detailed knowledge of the company’s products and services
- Analyze market trends and plan sales strategies accordingly
- Locates opportunities to expand client base
- Network with prospective clients to persuade them to bring their business to the company
- Devise new and innovative ways to market products and services
- Present software products and services to C-level clients and at prospect sales meetings
- Understand how to scale, manage and grow the business predictably and profitably
- Set quarterly and annual sales goals
- Ensure timely and accurate collection, analysis, formatting, management, and dissemination of sales data. Monitor the accuracy and efficient distribution of sales reports and other intelligence essential to the sales organization.
- Demonstrate the ability to meet and/or exceed sales and activity quotas while building strong client relationships.
- Working knowledge of software systems is a plus
Required Education, Skills and Experience:
- Must be a team player
- Strong analytical skills is a must
- Experience hiring and retaining staff of 50 sales representatives
- Experience training sales team
- Capable of conducting own independent research
- Success in process development to manage team (KPI’s Quotas)
- Successful track record of motivating a team of individuals to ensure that all sales activities are documented and completed
- Ensure sales team is achieving set goals and target numbers
- Manage the business processes established by the company
- Superior problem solving skills. Must be able to accurately compile and synthesize both quantitative and qualitative data
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Bachelors Degree required
- Demonstrated ability to re-engineer operations processes and teams
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
