Job Duties

• Responsible for troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair on all types of diesel trucks and equipment
• Repair and troubleshoot engines such as Caterpillar, Cummins, Detroit Diesel,
• Allison Transmission repair and rebuild.
• Diagnose, repair, adjust, and modify all heavy duty components
• Positive interface with service writers, foreman, parts department and customers
• Keep paper work updated and handed in upon completion
• Meet requirements for certifications
• Administrative duties as related to position

Desired Skills And Qualities

• Technical degree or certification a plus
• Positive attitude and the ability to set goals and accomplish them
• The desire to take advantage of certification opportunities to have the most updated product training
• Solid written and verbal communication skills
• Work experience performing duties similar in type and complexity to those to be performed on vehicles and equipment like those to be serviced may be substituted for the educational requirement on the basis of two years of work experience for one year of education

Position Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience working with diesel engines, transmissions, diesel equipment and/or heavy duty trucks
• Be able to work with diagnostic computers for troubleshooting and repairs
• Must have your own set of basic tools
• Use computer diagnostics for web based training and work order system
• Must be physically able to lift and work with no restrictions
• Work experience performing duties similar in type and complexity to those to be performed on vehicles and equipment like those to be serviced may be substituted for the educational requirement on the basis of two years of work experience for one year of education

Successful applicants must provide required tools on the date of hire. Employment of the selected candidate will be contingent on satisfactorily completing the interview process and the required drug test, DOT Physical, reference check and Motor Vehicle Verification
