Job Summary
Under general direction, the Developer II develops complex and specialized software; leads projects and participates in complex projects. The Developer II is responsible for the technical support of Enterprise and Administrative systems, including application and web implementation and enhancement, maintenance and business process automation and reporting.
Minimum Qualifications
Associate's Degree in a technical field and four (4) or more years in relevant professional work experience, and experience leading projects with multiple people and working on multiple projects simultaneously.
Relevant combinations of education, training and experience may be considered.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in Higher Education
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Well versed in multiple programming languages (including SQR, PL-SQL, Java, and LINUX shell-scripting) and proficient in the art of structuring and developing software code
- Well versed with version control systems
- Advanced Debugging ability
- Good interpersonal skills
- In-depth technical knowledge of relational databases (such as Oracle) and database concepts, web-based programming technologies and common development tools and techniques
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet goals and deadlines
- Ability to learn quickly, analyze complex issues, and provide advanced troubleshooting
- Ability to diagnose software problems
- Ability to communicate and cooperate effectively with colleagues and users in a diverse environment
- Ability to work both independently and as a team member

Business Hours: Monday - Friday
