Our growing billing team is looking for a new team member. We are an oral surgery practice with 6 locations and a billing team centralized in Randolph, NJ. We are in need of someone to join the team full-time with dental billing knowledge. We are a growing company with an opportunity for growth, and weare excited to grow the billing team. Please note that this is NOT a remote position.

Qualifications

· The Dental Billing Specialist must be a motivated problem-solver with knowledge of dental billing

· They must be able to collaborate effectively within a fast-paced environment with the ability to multi-task

· 1-3 years of experience in dental and medical billing is required

· Full knowledge of processing/posting dental insurance claims

· Excellent time-management, organization, written, and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

· Ensuring timely and accurate submissions/processing of claims

· Responsible for working accounts receivables

· Reviewing insurance explanation of benefits for payment accuracy

· Research and assist with claims not paid within industry standards

· Post all insurance payments/denials, inclusive of offsets to customer accounts in a timely manner

· Review discrepancies found with practice/provider for claims corrections

· Identify and report payment inconsistencies

· Apply contractual adjustments in accordance with insurance/payer fee schedule

· Attaching narratives and x-rays to all claims needing this information

· Adhere to standards, policies, and procedures measured by KPI’s

· Engage in the collection management processes

· Update fee schedules

· Confirm pre-authorizations for treatments

· File all primary/secondary insurances with the insurance companies

· Additional tasks may be assigned based on the needs of the company
