Role Overview
The DC Systems Manager is responsible for enabling business requirements such as storage optimization, product flow, etc. via our Warehouse Management System (WMS), LogPro. The incumbent will work with warehouse employees to understand their needs and work collaboratively with IT to implement system updates to optimize business processes. The incumbent will serve as the primary point of contact between Supply Chain and IT regarding all projects that support the distribution network. The incumbent will be responsible for adopting and promoting IT best practices to ensure adequate change control over production environments. This role reports to the Director of Operations.
Responsibilities
- Key user for administering, implementing, and working with IT to troubleshoot operational issues within the WMS
- Key WMS user who will be primary point of contact for operations users to request technical support from IT
- Collaborates with the IT department to efficiently develop and test WMS improvements, integration changes, perform root cause analysis on production application and integration failures, and system upgrades
- Builds and maintains reports that enable the business to identify system issues
- Supports DC automation, better SOPs, and process improvements through WMS enhancements
- Develops WMS reporting needs for end users including managing WMS schema tables
- Liaise with software suppliers in the support, development, and maintenance of WMS solutions in partnership with IT
- Works closely with product profiler to ensure that storage location logic is properly implemented to track inventory
- Supports KPI reporting that drives performance scorecards, joint problem solving and overall KPI improvement
- Develop and maintain documentation including WMS process workflows, integration mapping, data interfaces, etc.

- Self-motivator
- Experience / proficiency in Microsoft Office, SAP, WMS
- Experience operating in a Warehouse Management System (WMS )
- Experience with an ERP system; SAP is a plus
- RPG coding experience a plus
- 3-5 years of work experience in a similar role
- Bachelor’s degree in business or similar field preferred; years of experience will be considered
- Position can be remote part time, but must be available to work in both distribution centers as needed
- Experience working with a Transportation Management System (TMS)
- Minimal travel (0%-5%)
